Why BillBaazar exists
We started BillBaazar in 2024 to replace two things every retail or wholesale shop in India still runs on: a hand-written bill book, and a paper khata that starts an argument every month.
The problem we set out to fix
A shopkeeper doesn't need an accounting system — they need to bill a customer in the time it takes to say the total, keep a khata that a customer won't argue with at month end, and know what's left on the shelf without counting it by hand. Most billing software is built for an accountant first and a shop counter second. We built BillBaazar the other way round.
What we believe billing software should do
- Work on the phone a shopkeeper already owns — no dedicated hardware, no forced upgrade.
- Never lock a shop out of its own data. An expired subscription pauses access; it doesn't delete anything.
- Never store a card or auto-renew without being asked to — payment is UPI, bank transfer or cash, on the shop's own terms.
- Come with setup help. Moving a shop's existing customer and product list — even from photos of a notebook — is free.
Where your data lives
Shop data is stored in a managed database hosted in Mumbai, backed up daily, and kept isolated per shop. Read the full detail in our privacy policy.
